Hi! I’m Christina Fu, licensed architect,
owner of Silver Elms Architecture, and project leader for all builds. As a child, I loved to draw, but I didn’t see a career path in it right away.
It wasn’t until a high school field trip to San Francisco that I heard my professional calling. I fell in love with the picturesque blend of antique and modern buildings. I knew then that I wanted to study architecture and design spaces that take your breath away.
A few years later, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley’s College of Environmental Design. From there, I began my career as an associate designer for a prominent residential architect in Pasadena.
Six years into my career, I was ready to launch my own practice and founded Silver Elm Studio. I specialize in updating historic single-family residences for modern-day living in Arcadia, Altadena, Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre, and the surrounding neighborhoods.
I truly believe that God gave me the gift of figuring out spatial problems in a way that matches the dream home you see in your mind. My clients regularly tell me that I capture their vision with just a few quick sketches.
I chose the name Silver Elm Studio because the leaves of the silver elm are unique yet balanced. They’re a lot like my designs, which refresh older residences while still retaining their essence. I’d be honored to partner with you to make your home classically beautiful – and uniquely yours.

If we decide to work together, we’ll often recommend our signature design and build process, Residential Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). The Residential IPD process features an early cost feasibility analysis, builder-aware drawings, and a collaborative team of professionals, including designers, engineers, and contractors, dedicated to building your family’s sanctuary.
